Young adult is a popular literary genre, a confusing life stage, and the title of a fascinating movie. Charlize Theron's character clings to young adulthood. As an author, she struggles to crank out another sequel for the young adult series that gave her success. As a woman, she refuses to believe married-with-child ex-boyfriend Patrick Wilson is no longer an option.
Comedy and tragedy ensue. Returning to her Minnesota hometown, Charlize buddies up with a genitally-mutilated, masculinity-challenged guy, whom she cruelly mocks as "low-hanging fruit." She thinks they're opposites. The reality that they're equally stuck in the past reveals itself touchingly and hilariously.

Admirable Quests and Breasts in 3D
Travelers, mystics and scientists have something in common. They seek to understand life. In the film Prometheus, a smug heartless droid (Michael Fassbender) boasts he has no need for answers to the big questions: Where do we come from? What's our nature / purpose? Where are we going? A vulnerable spiritual woman (Noomi Rapace) responds, "I guess that's why I'm a human and you're a robot."
